2nd day of my Ishigaki-Okinawa adventure, and we went for a day trip to a small secluded island, Taketomi :) This day was definitely the highlight of my whole trip, I love biking around the island so much! Kichijoji is definitely one of my favorite neighborhoods in Tokyo for yummy foods! Maybe you’ve heard of Shimokitazawa for thrifting in Tokyo, but the neighborhood offers so much more than that! There are lots of cute cafes and restaurants, so you could easily spend a whole day here. I never ate this much in one day ever 😭 But this Tokyo neighborhood is one of the best for yummy restaurants and cafes with less crowds :) I always enjoy my time in Sangenjaya or Shancya, and there are still lots of places I need to try! Confession! I’ve been living in Tokyo for years, but I’ve never been to this neighborhood before 😮 I was so intrigued with all the cat themed stores, and decided to go and this neighborhood became one of my faves💗 Yanaka Ginza is Tokyo neighborhood, mixing with the old retro vibes with cutesy vibes because of the cat themed decorations and stores! Here are some stores that you should check out :)) Store 1: Niimi - One of the oldest stores in the area! - Selling lots of professional kitchenware -If you go up the 2nd floor, you will find alot of cute things like Mt. Fuji sake mug - You should buy the stickers at the register Store 2: Miyajima - A store only specializes in cookie cutters and baking tools - Thousands of cookie cutters option, any shape you can think of! This Japanese desserts is pretty underrated and you might never heard before! It is called Anmitsu, a combination of traditional Japanese desserts like Wagashi and modern desserts. I went to one local cafe in Yurakucho, Tokyo and it is beloved by so many locals. So expect a pretty long lines, but so so worth it :) Spots: Kanmiokame Yurakucho 甘味おかめ 有楽町店 - We ordered the limited edition Sakura Anmitsu🌸 - Filled with Shiratama, Red Beans, Jelly cubes, Soft serve Ice cream and little bit of sour plums -Sakuramochi was also so good! This cool neighborhood in Tokyo, is located only 5 minutes away by train from Shinjuku, but without the crowds :) Welcome to Yoyogi Uehara. I love to explore this area, and have been to couple restaurants and cafes previously. There are still so many that you can explore, most of the stores are also walking distance from one another. Totally obsessed!
