Worth a flight to Kyoto from anywhere This may be my very favorite hotel of all time. And I only say may to allow for the fact that I may be forgetting something. I can’t imagine, forgetting this. From the moment we arrived from the train station to the moment we sadly departed, every detail was thought of and accounted for. The staff are helpful and discreet, responding to every request as though we had simply asked them the time. This is the only unobtrusive turndown service I’ve ever experienced. . From calling taxis to arranging a Kintsugi experience, to deftly navigating a request to help retrieve some items left in a Tokyo hotel room, everything was absolutely seamless. . Bed was huge and comfortable, pajamas and robes lush, toilet, separate from the shower and private, and an in-room onsen built for two. . The pool is warm and mineral-fed, the grounds are breathtaking, and walking distance to Kinkakuji and some delicious sushi. . If I were forced to make a note, it would be that the Western items on the à la carte breakfast menu were not my favorite. But the buffet was great. . I would come back to Kyoto just to stay here. #PR #TikTokGo
A Truly Exceptional 10-Day Family Stay at Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo Our nine-night stay at Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo in July was exceptional from beginning to end. We traveled as a family with our seven-year-old son, and from the moment our car pulled up to the hotel, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and treated like royalty, but always in that wonderfully friendly, approachable, and distinctly Kimpton way. What impressed us most was the team. Throughout our entire stay, we were greeted with smiles, kindness, and a sincere willingness to help. Saying that the team was attentive would be an understatement. They genuinely wanted to make our experience easier, more comfortable, and more memorable. The attention given to our son was especially meaningful. Every time we entered or left the hotel, the team made a point of speaking with him and asking about his day. Over the course of our stay, he became so comfortable with everyone that he would walk directly to the front desk to tell the team where we had been and what he had done that day. Those interactions were never forced or transactional. They were natural, warm, and heartfelt. As parents, seeing our child feel so welcomed made the hotel feel less like a place we were staying and more like our home in Tokyo. We also appreciated the thoughtful welcome amenity prepared for our son. It was charming, age-appropriate, and another example of how the hotel understands that younger travelers are guests too. The design of Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo is outstanding. The décor is stylish, creative, and perfectly suited to a luxury lifestyle hotel. Every area felt thoughtfully designed, well maintained, and cared for. There is personality throughout the property, yet it remains comfortable and inviting rather than overly formal. Our room was equally impressive. The technology, functionality, and ease of getting things done exceeded what we typically expect from a hotel room. Everything was intuitive and convenient. Earplugs were thoughtfully provided, but we never needed them. Despite being in the heart of one of Tokyo’s busiest districts, we were never disturbed by outside noise. The windows did an excellent job of keeping the room peaceful and quiet. The location was perfect for our family. We were within walking distance of a major park, numerous restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and the famous Shinjuku Station. From there, we could travel to virtually any part of Tokyo with ease. Even our journey to Tokyo Disney was straightforward and manageable. The location gave us the energy and convenience of Shinjuku while still providing a comfortable retreat at the end of each day. The hotel’s food and beverage offerings were another major highlight. The restaurant served excellent food, and breakfast was truly beyond five-star service. The breakfast team was among the friendliest and most welcoming we encountered anywhere during our travels. They remembered us, engaged with our son, and consistently started our mornings on a positive note. The café on the lobby level was also a wonderful convenience. After returning from a day of exploring Tokyo, it was the perfect place to enjoy a coffee drink and a delicious treat before heading back to our room. It added another comfortable and social element to the hotel experience. After 10 days, we were genuinely sad to leave. There was still much more of Japan for us to explore, but Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo had become a place we looked forward to returning to each evening. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Strong leadership is clearly present throughout the property. It is reflected in the cleanliness, attention to detail, consistency of service, and, most importantly, the positive attitude of a team that genuinely enjoys helping its guests. Luxury can be found in beautiful rooms and impressive surroundings, but true hospitality is found in how a hotel makes people feel. Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo made our entire family feel recognized #PR #TiktokGo
The healing power of excitement The room at Surprise Marine was really open and we enjoyed an extraordinary stay. Although we only had four people, we were able to secure our own private space and it was a stress-free space. The beds were very comfortable, and even members who usually have trouble falling asleep in hotels were able to sleep soundly. Also, my family member, who has allergies and is very sensitive to the cleanliness of the room, didn't experience any allergic reactions, so we were impressed that the room was well cleaned. The whole family was delighted to be able to eat more ice cream than we normally do. The atmosphere was cute, the activities were fun, and the food was delicious, and the whole family agreed that we would like to come back again next season. #夏の思い出キャンペーン2026 #楽天トラベルキャンペーン #TikTokGoLocal #PR #TiktokGo
Exceptional Onsen Hotel in Beppu This hotel was the highlight of our recent trip to Japan. Once we arrive at the entrance, we were greeted by staff. It was not time for check-in yet but staff were helpful with storing our luggage until check-in time. We enjoyed drinks in the lounge, which includes alcohol, tea, etc. It was raining that day and umbrellas were available by the entrance for guests to borrow. Due to the rain, we walked to the mall near the hotel. At check-in time, the staff led us to our room and completed check-in process in the room. The staff helped us to register for an hotel activity (free perfume making workshop was short, but fun and we had a great time!) There were also other activities in the evening that do not need reservation (old-time Japanese games, self-serve ramen station, evening show, etc.) Once we walked into our room, we were literally "OMG", the floor to ceiling ocean view is breathtaking! I loved the ocean view so much that I spent a lot of time sitting by the window and just enjoying the view. Our room has a private onsen, which is lovely. Dinner and breakfast were good quality, but the dishes were not very special compared to the ones we had at other onsen hotels. But the dining staff was very attentive and friendly. The onsen at the hotel is nice. The hotel is located by the ocean, step outside and you could walk along the oceanside. After we check-out, the staff asked if we would like to take a photo by the entrance. She took the elevator down with us to take photos for us. The service throughout our stay is exceptional! This is our first time staying at a Kai hotel and we were amazed by their hospitality and attention to detail, we especially loved their activities! #夏の思い出キャンペーン2026 #楽天トラベルキャンペーン #TikTokGoLocal #PR #TiktokGo
A wonderful traditional Ryokan, with a beautiful outdoor bath and great food This is a copy of the email I wrote to ryugon, after our wonderful 2nights stay there: We just returned home on Friday, after spending 4 weeks travelling around Tohoku and Niigata. One major highlight, was our 2 nights stay at ryugon, so I want to give you a detailled feedback on it, which I will also post on Tripadvisor. We travelled there by Shinkansen from Kakunodate in Akita prefecture. We left there, when it was snowing like crazy. We arrived in Omiya (Saitama) on the Komachi Shinkansen with beautiful sunny weather. And after entering the tunnel on the Shinkansen to Niigata city, we exited in Echigo-Yuzawa into pure Snow Country. Thank you for providing a shuttle from and to Echigo-Yuzawa. That is very convenient. Before getting into the shuttle, we enjoyed a drink at Hatago Isen and the food bath in front of it. At ryugon, we stayed in 2 rooms, my friend in a classic room and myself in a classic suite. Both rooms were wonderful. The plus of my suite, was the small private onsen. But to be honest, I didn’t really use it, as I found it very difficult to shower before entering the onsen, without getting showering water into the onsen. My friends room had two normal lounger chairs with a view, whilst I had only a very low sofa, which I could not use (due to bad knees, and not liking/being able to get up easily from very low areas). So, I guess, my friends room was better (for our needs). But no worries, we both enjoyed our rooms fully. Our two highlights at ryugon were the onsen, and the food. The outdoor onsen was absolutely wonderful, with soothing water, a beautiful setting and a wonderful ambience. It was the major highlight of our trip, and we enjoyed every minute there. I wish I could bring this closer to my home, to experience it more often! To soak in the hot and very soft mineral water, with the head in the cold air, whilst watching snow falling: absolutely magical. Our second major highlight was the food at ryugon, especially on our second night there, where we had mushrooms in creamy sauce, a wonderfully light fish carpaccio and a delicious wagyu steak (and other delicious dishes). What we also very much enjoyed at ryugon: - the bar / lounge, where we can get free coffee / tea and patisserie at breakfast, and free sake and plum wine and senseis before dinner. What a great idea, and I think that nobody takes advantage of it. The big sofas with a view are wonderful and so comfortable. I wish to have a sofa like this at home 😊. - the fun short cooking class with the “grandma”. We very much enjoyed that, and it was a wonderful way of showing that its possible to communicate, without having a common language. Its by the way a great idea to use the wooden used chopsticks as a fire material. - the overall great mix of modern and traditional. The lobby area is so beautiful, with the big red cushion sofa, the Iori heard, the rocking chairs etc. - the wonderful staff, which is always very friendly, smiling and helpful, no matter if they speak Englisch or not - the beautiful mix of modern and traditional in the rooms, with tatami mats and low beds, and on the other side, a lovely kettle, a fridge, a desk etc. During our 2 nights stay, it was winter, and it was beautiful. We had wonderful sunshine on one morning and went for a walk in the snow cowered surroudings, with the sun shining. We had snow fall, which was especially pleasant in the outdoor onsen. We had walls of snow several meters high. Inside the Ryokan, we always felt warm and cozy. Ryugon was perfect, in every way, and the two nights there were so precious and wonderful. #夏の思い出キャンペーン2026 #楽天トラベルキャンペーン #TikTokGoLocal #PR #TiktokGo
Highly recommended; fantastic location Overall we were pleased with this hotel. It’s in a fantastic location, first of all. We were in one of the triple/bunk bed rooms on the south side of the building and had an AMAZING view of Shibuya, especially at night. Train noise was not at all a problem. Yes, we could hear trains. But in a bustling section of an enormous city you WILL hear noise. The thing is, the trains are practically the only thing we CAN hear, despite the insane Saturday night crowds, and they are a quiet whooshing clickety clack for a few seconds when they go by. Much quieter than our apartment in Washington, DC. Perhaps the trains are louder on the west side of the hotel, but we are on the lowest floor of rooms and can see the trains from our room as they go by. The beds are surprisingly comfortable, and there are lots of outlets. The shower is great — a choice of two showerheads, temp adjustable separately from water pressure, and LEGENDARY water pressure. Like, way better than I have at home. Naturally there is also an awesome Japanese style toilet; my nether regions have never been so clean. Cons: the air conditioning is not very powerful. When we arrived it was off, and the room was something like 27 degrees C, which is toasty. It took a day and a half to get down to our preferred temperature, but to be fair there are three of us being mammals generating body heat, breathing, and of course showering, in a very small room. Also, laundry facilities, while present, are barely adequate. There are two machines for the whole building, so you have to hover to get one, and they are combo washer/dryer units, which never dry well at all. So be prepared to festoon your room with damp laundry after it’s done washing and “drying”, even after pulling the driest items and putting in the extra 100Y coin for an extra 30 min drying time. Special call out to my new hero at the front desk! We are doing a highly illogical thing: taking the Shinkansen to Aomori and then a ferry to Hakodate, instead of going the whole way on the train. We want to spend 4 hours in the “view seats” and see some ocean scenery in the Kaikyo Strait. Well, it turns out it’s extremely difficult to book those seats from the US. As of the day of our flight to Japan, a little over a week before our ferry adventure, that route was not yet showing up on one of the international third-party websites, and it is never possible to book view seats on the other. So we got the assistance of a LOVELY front desk staff member who helped us with the Japanese website the morning after we checked in here. And now have our tickets! Side note: two restaurants in the neighborhood that I’d recommend are “Hole in the Wall” for wafu spaghetti and Mo Mo Paradise for shabu shabu. Both were outstanding! Yes, Mo Mo is a chain; it’s basically “The Melting Pot” for shabu shabu. But the food is excellent quality and it’s friendly to newbies! #夏の思い出キャンペーン2026 #楽天トラベルキャンペーン #PR #TiktokGo #TikTokGoLocal
A stylish hotel located halfway between Shibuya Station and Harajuku Station It is a short distance from the nearest JR Shibuya Station and a 10-minute walk. TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET is a stylish hotel based on the concept of a new style of social contribution <socializing>. There is a sophisticated worldview, from the hotel's interior design and interior to the amenities in the rooms, the minibar and the items available in the store. #夏の思い出キャンペーン2026 #楽天トラベルキャンペーン #PR #TiktokGo
The most complete hotel to enjoy nature!!! Very complete hotel: swimming pool, spa, sauna, children's room, games room, onsen, restaurant. It is 20 minutes from Kamogawa Sea World by bus. There is free bus from the Awa-Kominato station. Breakfast is free buffet. Dinner you choose from the free buffet or dinner in a private lounge. #楽天トラベルキャンペーン #PR #TiktokGo
Very clean, large, modern rooms. Highly recommend We enjoyed our stay here and are glad that we chose to pay a bit more to have a larger room than most Japanese hotel. The bed was massive and my wife could jump on one side without me even moving. The housekeeping here was absolutely top notch and must be acknowledged. They did a superb job of cleaning our room and replenishing the amenities every day. The reception staff were welcoming. The buffet breakfast was delicious. A short walk from Osaka station, even with luggage was not a problem. Coin laundry here was a plus for us. #楽天トラベルキャンペーン #PR #TiktokGo
Enjoy a pool and sauna in Osaka! Summer Hotel Stay at Rihga Royal Hotel Osaka I wanted to spend some time in Osaka avoiding the heat, so I used the "Cool Summer Stay." This plan included use of the pool sauna and breakfast, which was perfect for a trip to enjoy a hotel stay, unlike walking around outside for sightseeing. It is also a nice point that you can spend your time without worrying about the weather and sunshine because it is an indoor pool. After a swim in the 25m pool, we were able to use the shape-up pool, Jacuzzi and sauna, which was quite refreshing. The Corner Suite I stayed in covers 56 sq. m and is spacious with a king-size bed and sofa. The interior, which is typical of Nakanoshima and has an image of the water surface, also left an impression. For breakfast, choose the buffet at All Day Dining Limonet. The omelettes, which were made in a live kitchen, were particularly delicious, with a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes. In Osaka in the summer, it is recommended not only to visit sightseeing spots, but also to spend time cooling off in the hotel pool or sauna. This hotel is also recommended for those who want to enjoy a little luxury holiday in the vicinity. #楽天トラベルキャンペーン #PR #TiktokGo
