On June 23, nearly 40 international visitors from six countries, including Pakistan, Spain, and South Sudan, visited Rudong for an immersive experience. In Rudong, they explored local folk customs, intangible cultural heritage woodblock printing, and youth acrobatic performances, gaining a close-up view of the town’s distinctive coastal culture and the enduring charm of traditional Chinese culture.

Recently, the Sino-foreign cultural exchange event and the Dragon Boat Festival folk experience was held at the Nantong Blue Calico Museum. Friends from home and abroad participated in traditional Dragon Boat Festival games, such as land dragon boat racing, shooting the "Five Poisons," and pitch-pot throwing, as well as a fun football experience. They also engaged in hands-on interactions with traditional printing and dyeing techniques, including woodblock carving, paste scraping, dyeing, and drying. Participants filled sachets with mugwort, stitched fragrant pouches, and braided colorful threads. Through these hands-on crafts, they experienced the beautiful symbolism of the Dragon Boat Festival and created exquisite handmade souvenirs. These activities not only left a wonderful memory of this cultural exchange but also allowed participants to appreciate and understand the innovative vitality of traditional Chinese craftsmanship in the contemporary era.
