Things you NEED to know before dining at a Japanese restaurant. 🍱🥢 🧻 Oshibori — The wet towel is for your hands only. Not your face or neck! 🔔 Ordering — There's no table server waiting on you. Raise your hand and say "Sumimasen!" or press the call button. 🥂 Kanpai — Always keep your glass lower than the older person's when clinking. It's a sign of respect. 🙏 Itadakimasu — Before eating, put your hands together and say "Itadakimasu." It means "thank you for this meal." 🥢 Chopsticks — Don't pull bowls, don't point, and NEVER pass food chopstick to chopstick. This is associated with a funeral ritual in Japan. Can't use them? Just ask for a fork! 🚫 No outside food or drinks — Always order from the restaurant. Even bringing your own seasoning is considered rude. 💺 Posture — Keep your elbows off the table and support your bowl with your free hand. ✨ Gochisousama — When you finish, say "Gochisousama deshita." It's the Japanese way of saying thank you for the meal. Save this before your Japan trip! 📌 #Japantrip #japaneseculture #japantrip #kyototravel #fyp
