This historic canal in Omihachiman feels like being in old Japan 🌸 Even though I visited just past peak bloom (maybe 70% of the blossoms still left 🤔), it was still incredibly beautiful 🥰 with petals falling into the water and traditional boats passing by 💗 I definitely want to visit again soon, I can imagine this area is really pretty when the trees are green, too 🌿 The 𝗛𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗻-𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗶 𝗺𝗼𝗮𝘁 is especially known for its small wooden boat tours, where you can slowly drift through the canal while taking in the scenery. Japan’s famous “Snow Monsters” in Zao ❄️🌲 These snow-covered trees are called 𝗝𝘂𝗵𝘆𝗼. They form when freezing winds from Siberia carry moisture across the Sea of Japan and freeze onto the trees on Mt.
