11:00 - 22:30 L.O. 21:30 Introducing the stunning parfaits from Nood e—a stylish dessert spot located in the food hall on the 8th floor of NEWoMan Yokohama, directly connected to the west exit of Yokohama Station. Here’s what we enjoyed on our visit: ✔ Whole White Peach & Plum Parfait (Peach from Fukushima) ✔ Andes Melon & Quincy Melon Parfait (Melon from Ibaraki) Both are eye-catching and luxurious treats, perfect for a sweet indulgence. The peach parfait, topped with an entire juicy peach, makes a bold statement. Its delicate sweetness paired with the refreshing tartness of plum creates a perfect balance that stays enjoyable till the last bite. The melon parfait features two kinds of premium melon, piled generously—like eating pure fruit in dessert form. Each parfait showcases the natural flavor and quality of Japan’s seasonal fruits. A special highlight is the counter seating, where you can watch each parfait being carefully crafted right before your eyes. It’s like witnessing edible art come to life—an experience that makes the wait part of the fun. Seating is limited, so we recommend making a reservation in advance. With its retro-modern charm and relaxed ambiance, Nood e offers meticulously made sweets that satisfy whether you come just for dessert or to wrap up a meal on a sweet note. 📍 Nood e 📍 8F NEWoMan Yokohama, 1-1-1 Minamisaiwai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa ▪️ Opening Hours Mon–Thu & Sun: 11:00–22:00 (Last order 21:00) Fri, Sat & Day Before Holidays: 11:00–22:30 (Last order 21:30) #yokohamaeats #横浜カフェ #ご褒美スイーツ
(English follows below.) We visited Toshimaya Karyo Hatokoji, a traditional Japanese sweets café tucked away just off the bustling Komachi Street in Kamakura. We arrived around 11:00 a.m. on a Saturday. Even then, there were already a few groups waiting outside. It took us about 30 minutes to get in, and by the time we left around 12:30 p.m., the line had grown even longer—clearly a popular spot. Just a short step away from the crowds, the café offers a calm and refined Japanese-style atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy high-quality wagashi (Japanese sweets). Here’s what we ordered: • Hon Warabi Mochi (authentic bracken-starch mochi) • Sakura Mochi (served with matcha) • Cream Anmitsu (sweet red bean and jelly dessert) Among these, the Hon Warabi Mochi stood out. It had a melt-in-your-mouth texture and a delicate sweetness that lingers gently. You can truly taste the quality ingredients and the craftsmanship in every bite. If you’re exploring Kamakura and looking to take a peaceful break with traditional Japanese desserts, this is the place to be.
