How to take the bus in Kyoto 🇯🇵 1. Buses in Kyoto are boarded in the back and exited in the front 2. You don't need to tap your IC card when you enter. Only when you get off. 3. You should pay the exact fare, If you don’t have the exact fare, there is a change machine beneath the payment slot that can break down coins and 1000 yen notes 4. Within the city there is a flat fare zone, 230 yen for adults 5.
