About 7 years ago, I visited Sensō-ji for the first time, but I honestly didn’t enjoy it as much because of the huge crowd. Since my hotel was literally just steps away from the temple, I randomly decided to brave going out again at 2 AM just to see what it felt like without all the chaos. And honestly, it was one of the best decisions I made during that trip. The streets were almost empty, the lanterns were glowing quietly, and the entire place felt so peaceful and completely different from the busy atmosphere during the day.
