I’ve visited a lot of shrines in Japan, and while they’re all beautiful in their own way, I wanted to experience something that didn’t feel like the typical Japanese shrine . A student recommended Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine to me, and it honestly became one of the most unique and breathtaking shrines I’ve ever visited. Hidden in the peaceful mountains of Kumamoto, the atmosphere felt completely different — quiet, magical, and surrounded by nature.
