I went to Sakai Coffee’s Bando Iwai branch because I wanted to try Nishio’s matcha pancakes again. This is my favourite dessert, made with a generous amount of Nishio matcha, known for its rich aroma and mellow flavour. The slightly sweet red bean paste and the fluffy pancakes are pure bliss. The harmony of the rich, syrupy black sugar and the slightly bitter matcha, combined with the moist, fluffy batter, creates a perfect balance of flavour and texture. I’m completely hooked. They were holding a Spring Fair, so I tried the ‘Shrimp and Salmon Sakura Chirashi Sushi’. It was delicious, looked lovely, and was a dish that really made me feel the spirit of spring. The Cheese Omelette Rice with Demi-glace Sauce was absolutely delicious—the combination of the demi-glace and the cheese was unbeatable. I’d love to have it again. They’re holding a Spring Fair, and there’s a Strawberry Mont Blanc pancake on the menu—I’m really curious about it. I’d love to try it. I keep coming back for the Fresh Lemon Squash because you can adjust the sweetness with lemon and syrup. Items I ordered Cheese Omelette Rice with Demi-glace Sauce: 1,180 yen.
