Café with an amazing beach view 🐠 At café Hipopo Papa, you’ll have relaxing beach vibes and also find one of Japan‘s most unique toilets 🚽🤭 The ladies’ restroom is surrounded by giant glass tanks filled with fish! The idea came from the owner back in the 1980s, who wanted to recreate the feeling of “being in the sea“. Magome-juku is a beautifully 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻 in the Kiso Valley, once serving travelers along the historic 𝗡𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹 🌿 During the Edo period, the Nakasendō 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗞𝘆𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗱𝗼 (𝗧𝗼𝗸𝘆𝗼), and Magome-juku flourished as an 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 for merchants and travelers crossing the mountains.
