📍Fukusaki Town Tsujikawa Tourist Exchange Center Fukusaki, Hyogo is known as a “Yokai Town,” and it’s such a fun place to experience Japanese folklore—home of Kunio Yanagita, the famous folklorist. At Tsujikawayama Park, you can even see Gajiro the kappa pop out of the pond, and just walking around town feels like a little yokai hunt. There are yokai statues and quirky displays all around the station area, parks, and local spots, so it’s super photo-friendly and great for families and international travelers too. It’s also really easy to get to—about 30 minutes by train from Himeji, and perfect for a day trip from Osaka or Kobe. This video was filmed in front of the Fukusaki Town Tsujikawa Tourist Exchange Center. From above, it looks exactly like a real swimming pool filled with water. But when you step inside, you’ll discover a hidden space beneath the surface, separated by glass, where people appear as if they are standing underwater. 📍KYOTO / NyanNyanji（Cat Temple） NyanNyan-ji is the world's first temple-style art museum, located in the nature-rich Yase area of Kyoto, with cats as its principal image. The sliding doors and ceilings of this charming 100-year-old traditional house are packed with cat-themed artworks, allowing visitors to enjoy art filled with cats. The gallery space inside the building displays the works of Miyano Kaya, who has been active as a cat artist since she was 11 years old. Miyano Kaya has painted cats on all 24 sliding doors in the building, and has also created the maneki-neko (beckoning cat) and cat daruma dolls that are the principal images of the temple. 📍NARA / The birthplace of Street Fighter-「Kashihara City」 The founder of Capcom, the company that created Street Fighter, is from Kashihara City. Because of this connection, Kashihara has built several Street Fighter statues to honor the series. In December 2025, the fourth statue—Edmond Honda—was completed. You can reach this spot in about 30 minutes from Kintetsu Nara Station, the station closest to the famous Todaiji Temple.
