I Needed This Trip to Hakone 🇯🇵 Living in Tokyo is exciting, but every once in a while, I need somewhere to slow down. Hakone was exactly that. I found a milk stand inside Akihabara Station 🥛 These old school milk stands are disappearing from Tokyo stations but a few are still holding on, and this one in Akihabara is genuinely worth stopping for. I got the coffee milk and it might be one of the best things I’ve had in Tokyo 😮‍💨 Rich, not too sweet, completely nostalgic in the best way. I’ll absolutely be back for more. I Tried Sando Lab Tokyo in Akihabara 🇯🇵 Sando Lab Tokyo in Akihabara is one of Tokyo’s most viral food spots right now! Got the Japanese beef steak sando and the crème brûlée fried sandwich. There’s a shrine hidden in Akihabara that most people walk right past ⛩️ Hanabusa Inari Shrine is tucked down a narrow alleyway between two buildings in Akihabara. No signs. No crowds. I didn’t know matcha came in bamboo cups until I found this hidden spot in Tsukiji 🍵 Matcha Stand IPPUKU just opened in Tsukiji and it’s already one of the most unique matcha spots in Tokyo! Tucked in an alleyway away from the main market crowds Matcha served in bamboo cups, minimal interior, and the kind of spot that feels like a genuine discovery 🙌 This one won’t stay hidden for long. I didn’t think ramen could get any better 🍜 The owner of Wagyu Ramen Goku in Shibuya personally invited me in and this bowl changed what I thought ramen could be. Never seen anything this realistic in my life Ron Mueck is an Australian hyperrealist sculptor currently exhibiting at the Mori Art Museum in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo! The sculptures range from small to room filling giants and every single one looks so real it messes with your head 🤔 The exhibition runs April 29 to September 23, 2026. General admission is ¥2,300 on weekdays and ¥2,500 on weekends and holidays. Children get in free. Book online in advance to save a little extra! Save this before it’s gone. 🗓️

I found the best view of Tokyo Tower 🗼 The Sky Lobby at Azabudai Hills in Mori Tower, take the elevator to the 34th floor and you get this view completely unobstructed! Tokyo has an entire neighborhood dedicated to cats 🐈 Yanaka Ginza is one of Tokyo’s oldest streets! Cat art, hidden rooftop cat statues, and food stalls packed into a pedestrian street that survived WWII. Still looks exactly like old Tokyo! Most people in Tokyo have never heard of Shibamata Tucked away in northeast Tokyo, Shibamata is one of the city’s oldest and most preserved neighbourhoods 🙌 Retro candy stores, fresh dango on the street and a 400 year old temple that somehow survived WWII. The best view in Tokyo is completely free 🤯 The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building in Shinjuku takes you up to the 45th floor with panoramic views of the entire city! On a clear day you can even see Mt Fuji from here. There is a café and souvenir shop up there too so you can grab a coffee and just sit above the city 🏙️ Free entry. Nakano is the most underrated neighborhood in Tokyo From Nakano Broadway, Tokyo’s iconic shopping complex packed with anime, manga, and vintage collectibles, to hidden ramen spots locals have been going to for decades, this neighborhood has everything without the tourist crowds! After exploring the Broadway I stopped at Chuka Soba Aoba, one of Nakano’s most legendary ramen spots, just a few minutes walk from the station.
