Thank you, Josh Kerr. It was an unforgettable moment at the University of New Mexico. I had the chance to meet Josh Kerr while training at the University of New Mexico. It was such a special experience to see one of the best middle-distance runners in the world training in the same environment and breathing the same air. He was incredibly kind, took a photo with me, talked with me, and even cheered for me during my workout. Even though he is a world champion and Olympic medalist, he was very natural, friendly, and respectful. That left a strong impression on me. Josh Kerr is from Edinburgh, Scotland, and competed for the University of New Mexico Lobos. During his college career, he became a three-time NCAA champion before turning professional. Since then, he has become one of the greatest 1500m runners in the world. He won bronze in the men’s 1500m at the Tokyo Olympics, became the 1500m world champion in Budapest in 2023, and won silver in the 1500m at the Paris Olympics while setting a British record. He has also won world indoor titles over 3000m, proving that he has not only incredible speed, but also strength, endurance, tactical intelligence, and the ability to win on the biggest stages. Watching him train in person was completely different from watching him on video. His speed was amazing, but what impressed me most was how smooth and controlled he looked. There was no wasted movement, no unnecessary tension, just power, rhythm, confidence, and calmness. His running looked fast, but also effortless. That is what made it so cool. As a long-distance runner myself, I am always trying to improve and reach a higher level. Seeing a world-class athlete up close reminded me that greatness is not only about talent. It is about preparation, focus, consistency, confidence, and the quality of every single movement. This moment gave me a lot of motivation. Taking a photo with him was amazing, but what I will remember even more is his kindness, his support during training, and the feeling of watching a true world-class runner up close. I do not want this to be just a memory. I want to use this experience as motivation for my own training, my next race, and my future goals. One day, I want to compete on the world stage too. Thank you, Josh Kerr. A special moment I will never forget. #Running #joshkerr #unm #workout #marathon
