PART 3: WHAT THIS STORY SHOULD TEACH US Now that you’ve heard my story, let’s talk about the bigger lesson. My story isn’t only about a woman who refused to mourn her husband. It’s about respect, choices, consequences, and marriage. Some men believe that because they are the head of the family, they can do whatever they want. They cheat. They lie. They move from one woman to another. And when their wives complain, they say: “I’m a man. Men are naturally polygamous.” But being a man doesn’t give you permission to disrespect your wife. If you genuinely want a polygamous marriage, that’s a conversation you should have openly with your wife. Secretly sleeping with different women and calling it your “nature” is something completely different. I begged my husband to stop. I told him I was worried about diseases. I told him I wanted peace in our marriage. But he didn’t listen. And eventually, his actions had consequences. He died while he was with another woman. And the same woman who had begged him to stop cheating was left to deal with everything that came afterward. So ask yourself: If your wife keeps warning you about something and you refuse to listen, what happens when she finally stops fighting? And to the women listening to my story… If you were me, would you have mourned your husband? Would you have worn black? Would you have attended the burial? And if you were legally married, would you fight for your rights to the property? Tell me honestly in the comments. No insults. Let’s have a mature conversation. And to the men especially, remember this: Being faithful isn’t weakness. You have your dignity to protect. You have your wife’s trust to protect. You have your marriage and your family to protect. You may think cheating has no consequences today. But you never know what tomorrow will bring. And finally, about the property… Not having a child does not automatically mean a legally married woman has no rights. Inheritance depends on the applicable law and the circumstances of the marriage and property. So let’s not judge everything based only on emotions. Now tell me… Was I wrong? Did I deserve to mourn him? Or did I have every right to grieve in my own way? Drop your honest opinion in the comments. And if this story taught you something, share it with someone who needs to hear it. Follow for more real-life relationship stories.

THE MARRIED WOMAN WHO USED ME AND WALKED AWAY — PART TWO I couldn’t just ignore what I had seen. So I confronted her. I asked her directly, “Are you married? Who are these people you’re posting?” Instead of apologizing, she went straight back to our old conversations. She reminded me that she had told me from the very beginning that she was married. She practically shouted at me through the phone, asking me how many times she had to tell me before I would believe her. And that is what is confusing me the most. Yes, she told me she was married. But if she knew I didn’t believe her, why did she continue accepting my money for almost two years? Why didn’t she simply send me a picture from her wedding or something that would have made it completely clear? Why did she allow me to keep spending millions of naira on her while she was living with her husband and children? Those questions have been running through my mind ever since. Now I’m angry, embarrassed, and heartbroken. I know I was wrong for getting involved with another woman while I was married. I’m not trying to pretend that I’m innocent. But I also feel like I was deliberately taken advantage of. I gave this woman money because I genuinely cared about her. I supported her when she told me she had problems. I even helped with things I probably should never have been responsible for. And all this time, she was living her life with her husband and children. The part that hurts me the most is that she never seemed interested in meeting me, yet she always had a reason for why I should keep waiting. Whenever I asked questions, she had an explanation. Whenever she needed money, I sent it. And because I was emotionally attached to her, I ignored things I should have questioned. Right now, I’m seriously tempted to post her pictures online and expose everything because I feel she deserves to be dragged for what she did to me. But honestly, I don’t even know what the right thing to do is anymore. Part of me is angry and wants everyone to know what happened. Another part of me knows that I also have a lot to answer for because I was married when I started this relationship. I cannot pretend I was completely innocent. I made a choice, and I have to live with that choice. But after nearly two years of talking, sending money, waiting to meet her, and believing her, I have finally realized that I may have been nothing more than a source of money to her. I thought I was building something with someone who cared about me. Instead, I may have been financing a family that wasn’t even mine. And that realization hurts more than anything. I don’t know if I should expose her, walk away quietly, or simply accept that I made a terrible mistake. All I know is that after everything I gave, I never expected the relationship to end with me feeling completely used and discarded.

THE MARRIED WOMAN WHO USED ME AND WALKED AWAY — PART ONE I never imagined that a woman I met online would leave me feeling this betrayed. I am a married man myself, and I know what I did was wrong. But what hurts me the most is that I feel this woman deliberately took advantage of my feelings and kept collecting money from me. This whole thing started about two years ago, sometime around October or November. I live in Lagos, while she lives in the eastern part of Nigeria. I met her on TikTok, and from the very first time I saw her, I was attracted to her. She was extremely beautiful, intelligent, and had this personality that kept drawing me closer. It took almost a month before she finally started responding to my messages. When I eventually asked her out, she told me she was married. Honestly, I didn’t believe her. I thought maybe she was just saying that to discourage me because, in my mind, she looked too young to be married. I had also heard stories of women telling men they were married just to get them to stop disturbing them. So I kept pursuing her. Eventually, I think she got tired of trying to convince me and agreed to have a relationship with me. A few months into it, I started sending her money. I know I was already crossing a line because I was married, but I was becoming emotionally attached to her. I would call her whenever I got to work. She never disturbed me when I was at home with my wife and family. Whenever I wanted to speak with her, she was usually available. She would video-call me while cooking, doing things around the house, or just going about her day. Nothing about those calls made me suspect that she was living with a husband. Then Christmas came. I spent over ₦800,000 on her that Christmas alone. I bought things for her and sent her money because I genuinely believed I was doing something special for someone I cared about. After that, I kept asking her to come to Lagos so we could finally meet. I even sent her money for her flight. But the first time she was supposed to come, she didn’t. She told me her father had fallen seriously ill and was in the hospital. I checked on her through a video call, and I actually saw her father lying on a hospital bed. I felt sorry for her and sent her money to help with the situation. At that point, I didn’t think she was manipulating me. I genuinely believed I was helping someone I cared about. But another year was already passing, and somehow, we still had never met physically. Whenever I asked her to send me intimate videos because we hadn’t seen each other, she refused. She would tell me she wasn’t that kind of woman and that I should wait until we finally met. She made it sound like everything would be better when we eventually saw each other in person. So I kept waiting. I kept hoping. And I kept sending money. Before I knew it, I had spent millions of naira on this woman. I believe I was even helping with school fees and other household expenses because whenever she needed money, she would tell me what she needed it for, and I would send it. The painful part is that I was doing things for this woman that I wasn’t even doing for my own wife. I honestly thought I was taking care of a woman who cared about me. I didn’t realize I was financially supporting another man’s wife. Then one day, everything changed. She made a post celebrating her husband and her children. I was shocked. She had never really posted them on WhatsApp or anywhere else that I could see. But suddenly, she was celebrating her husband publicly and calling him her love. She posted pictures on Instagram, Facebook, and her status. I was completely confused. I looked at the pictures and thought, “Who is this man? And why are you calling him your love?” That was the moment I realized there was much more to this woman than I had been willing to see.

The Wife Who Poured Hot Custard on Her Husband Part 2 Her husband had a side chick. And it wasn’t just that he was cheating. The SUV her father had bought for her was being used by the side chick. The husband had given the woman access to the vehicle so she could use it for school runs for her own child. The wife couldn’t believe what she was seeing. She investigated further and discovered that the child wasn’t even her husband’s. The side chick had a child with another man, yet her husband was using their family resources to take care of that child. He had taken the car her father bought for his wife and given it to his mistress. The wife was devastated. She had already caught her husband cheating several times before, but this discovery pushed her beyond her limit. She couldn’t understand how her husband could take something her own father had provided for her and give it to another woman. That night, she decided she had had enough. The following morning, she prepared a very large bowl of hot custard. She knew exactly when her husband usually came out of the bedroom to get ready for work. She waited. The custard was still extremely hot. As soon as her husband stepped out of the bedroom, she grabbed the bowl and poured the hot custard all over him. She poured it over him repeatedly in anger. The man collapsed and was rushed for medical attention. According to the story, he eventually fell into a coma and had not regained consciousness. He was still alive, but he had not opened his eyes or spoken. The shocking part of the story is that the entire situation began with what seemed like a simple disagreement over a family car. But behind that disagreement was something much deeper—betrayal, infidelity, and the husband’s decision to give his wife’s vehicle to another woman. The woman had already endured repeated cheating, but discovering that her father had bought a car for her and her children, only for her husband to hand it over to his side chick, was the final straw. Still, no matter how angry or betrayed someone feels, attacking another person with extremely hot food can cause severe and potentially life-threatening injuries. What do you think about what this woman did? Was her husband’s behavior unforgivable, or did she go too far with her reaction?

The Wife Who Poured Hot Custard on Her Husband — Part 1 A woman poured a very large bowl of hot custard all over her husband. But what could have pushed a woman to do something like that? What really happened between this husband and wife? This couple had been married for eight years, and they had children together. One day, they both contributed money and bought a car. They agreed that the car would mainly be used for taking the children to school. Every morning, the husband would drive the children to school, drop his wife at her salon, and then continue to his workplace. They had been doing this for some time until the husband suddenly came home one day and announced that he could no longer take his wife and the children to school. According to him, his boss had been complaining that he was always arriving late at work. The wife didn’t argue. She simply told him, “Okay, no problem. I’ll take the children to school with the car, and you can find another way to get to work.” But the husband immediately rejected the idea. He asked why he should be taking Uber or public transportation to work while his wife and children were using the car. The wife reminded him that the whole reason they bought the car in the first place was to handle the children’s school runs. She explained that the car wasn’t purchased specifically for his workplace. But the husband refused to listen. From that moment, he started taking the car to work every day, while his wife and children struggled to get to school on time. Eventually, the woman went to her father for help. Her father was financially comfortable, so she explained everything to him. She told him that her children were constantly arriving late at school because her husband had taken their family car to work. She also explained that the school principal had started complaining. She asked her father to help her get another car so she could take the children to school and also use the vehicle for her salon business. Her father agreed. He bought her a brand-new SUV. The vehicle was beautiful, and when her husband saw it, he was actually very happy. He told her that at least now she could use the new car to take the children to school. Everything seemed peaceful again. The woman used the SUV for school runs, went to her salon, and there were no more arguments about transportation. Then, one day, the husband came home without his own car. His wife asked what had happened. He explained that his car had broken down and was at the mechanic’s shop. She didn’t think much of it. One week passed. Then another week passed. The husband still hadn’t brought his car home. He continued using public transportation. Eventually, he approached his wife and asked her to give him the SUV so he could drive it to work. He claimed that his boss was becoming increasingly angry because he was constantly arriving late after using public transportation. The woman reminded him that her father had bought the SUV specifically so she could take their children to school. She asked him to consider the children’s needs. But the husband kept begging. Eventually, the woman felt sorry for him and agreed to give him the vehicle. However, something strange happened again. The husband eventually came home without the SUV. This time, the woman became suspicious. She started wondering what was really going on. Had her husband sold the car? Was he hiding something from her? One night, while her husband was asleep, she took his phone and started going through his messages. She checked his conversations, contacts, and other things on the phone. Then she discovered something that completely broke her heart. Her husband had a side chick. And what she discovered next was even worse… TO BE CONTINUED IN PART 2.

PART 2 — I STARTED PUSHING HIM AWAY I will not lie about it. My husband was not perfect, but he did not deserve the way I treated him. I became the reason the marriage eventually failed. I started comparing him with my friends’ husbands over every little thing. If another woman bought something new, I wanted the same thing. If someone showed me a beautiful apartment, I became angry that my husband could not provide the same lifestyle immediately. My friends continued telling me that I deserved better. Some even told me that because I was in Europe, I had rights and that I should not tolerate anything I considered unfair. They began putting ideas into my head. Eventually, I started doing things deliberately just to provoke my husband. I wanted arguments. I wanted him to lose his temper. Some of my friends even told me that if he ever slapped me during an argument, I should immediately call the police. They made me believe that if the police became involved, my husband would be the one in trouble and I would be protected. So I became more confrontational. One day, we had an argument, and I deliberately pushed the situation further. My husband eventually slapped me. I immediately called the police. The police came and dealt with the situation. But after everything settled down, my husband told me that he was tired of the constant fighting and arguments. He told me that if I was no longer happy in the marriage, I could return to Nigeria. But I refused. I told him I did not want to return because I was afraid people would laugh at me. I had already built a life in Germany, and I did not want anyone to know that my marriage had failed. Then I made the decision that changed everything. I asked for a divorce.

PART 1 — I REGRET DIVORCING MY HUSBAND Guys, I honestly regret the day I divorced my husband. I swear, single life is not easy at all. Since I left my marriage, I have not had peace of mind. The responsibilities I used to share with my husband are now completely on my shoulders. I have to take care of the children, take them to school, pick them up, attend appointments, cook, clean, and handle almost everything by myself. So before you judge me, let me explain how everything started. Five years ago, my husband brought me from Nigeria to Germany. I already had two children in Nigeria before I joined him. Back in Nigeria, my husband made sure I was very comfortable. We lived in a three-bedroom apartment, and he even employed a housekeeper who stayed with me and helped take care of the house and the children. My life was very easy. I could wake up without worrying about cooking or cleaning. The children went to school, the housekeeper handled most of the chores, and my husband made sure I had everything I needed. But when I arrived in Germany, I discovered that my husband’s lifestyle was completely different. His house was almost empty. There was barely any furniture in the living room. The bedroom had only a bed and a wardrobe. There was nothing luxurious about the place. I was shocked. I kept asking myself, “Why did my husband make me so comfortable in Nigeria when he was living like this in Germany?” I even told him that if he knew his life was going to be this difficult, he should have left me in Nigeria. But he explained that he did not have enough money to furnish the house the way I wanted. He told me that once I started working, we could gradually buy the things we needed. He also registered me in a language school so I could learn German and adjust to life in the country. At first, I understood him. But then I met some women at school. And that was when everything began to change. The women I met at school started visiting me and giving me advice. One day, a friend came to my house and was shocked by what she saw. She looked around and asked, “Is this really where you live?” Instead of encouraging me to appreciate what my husband was doing, she started comparing my home to the homes of other women. She told me how beautiful her friend’s house was. She talked about how other husbands had already furnished their apartments and bought everything their wives needed. Whenever I visited their homes, I saw beautiful furniture, decorations, and well-arranged apartments. Then I would return to my own house and feel ashamed. I became so embarrassed that I did not even want to make videos or post pictures from inside my home on social media. My friends kept reminding me that I was beautiful and asking why I was living in what they called a poor-looking apartment. Little by little, their words got into my head. They made me feel like my husband was not doing enough for me. They would say things like, “Look at other women. Their husbands have provided everything for them. Why can’t your husband do the same?” Instead of being grateful for the things my husband was already doing, I began focusing on what he had not provided. When I came home from school, I started comparing him with other husbands. I would tell him, “Look at your friends. Look at how they have furnished their homes. Look at what other men are doing for their wives.” I started calling him lazy. I became unhappy with everything he did. Looking back now, I realize that my husband was not the problem. I was allowing other people’s opinions to destroy my marriage.

Part 3: After leaving, my husband gave me a condition. He said that if I wanted him to come back, I had to change the ownership of the house and put his name on it. He also wanted me to continue paying the mortgage. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I asked him: “Why should I do that?” “You refused to put your name on the house when I asked you.” “You refused to buy a house with me.” “You said you didn’t want anything to do with it.” “Now that I have bought the house myself, you want me to transfer ownership to you?” Then I told him: “If you really want a house with your name on it, why don’t you buy one?” “We can all move into the house you buy.” But he refused. He said he wasn’t buying any house. And now I’m left wondering what exactly I’m supposed to do. I love my husband. We’ve been married for 17 years. He’s the father of my children. I never bought that house to compete with him. I bought it because I was tired of watching my children live in a cramped apartment. I wanted my son to have his own room. I wanted my daughters to have their own space. I wanted my family to have a home. I never imagined that something I did for my family would become the reason my husband walked away. Now I’m asking myself: Did I really embarrass my husband by thanking God for helping me buy the house? Should I have mentioned him during my speech even though he refused to put his name on the property? Should I transfer ownership to him just to get my husband back? Or should I stand my ground and let him decide what he wants? I’m genuinely confused. I don’t want my marriage to end. But I also don’t want to give away something I worked so hard to achieve just because my husband is angry. If you were in my position, what would you do? Would you transfer the house into your husband’s name? Would you continue paying the mortgage after doing that? Or would you leave the ownership exactly as it is and allow your husband to decide whether he wants to come back? Please, I really need your honest advice.

When I finally found the house I wanted and was preparing to close on it, I told my husband. I said, “Baby, we’re about to get this house. Do you want me to add your name to the documents?” His response shocked me. He said, “No.” I asked him again. He said, “Don’t put my name on anything.” He made it very clear that he didn’t want his name on the house and that he wasn’t interested in paying the mortgage with me. So I bought the house in my name. I handled the entire process myself. The documents were in my name. I paid for everything myself. And eventually, we moved into the house as a family. I didn’t announce it to everybody. I didn’t make a big deal about the fact that I had bought the house. I just wanted my family to have a beautiful home. For the first time, our son had his own room. My daughters had their own space. My husband and I had our bedroom. And honestly, I was happy. After about eight or nine months of living there, I had also completed my LPN program and become a nurse. The house was fully furnished and beautiful. One day, I told my husband: “Baby, I think we should have a housewarming party.” “Our family and friends should come and celebrate with us.” He agreed. He said it was a good idea. So we invited our families, friends, and loved ones. We decided to have the celebration at the back of the house. It wasn’t anything extravagant. Just a small gathering to celebrate our new home. On that day, my husband spoke to everyone. He thanked our family and friends for coming. Then he turned to me and said: “My wife also has something to say.” I immediately said, “No, baby. You can continue.” I didn’t think I needed to speak. But he insisted. So eventually, I took the microphone. I thanked everyone for coming. Then I said: “Getting this house was a challenge for me, but I thank God for making it possible.” “I give God all the glory.” That was it. I wasn’t trying to insult my husband. I wasn’t trying to embarrass him. I wasn’t trying to take credit for anything. I was simply grateful. But after everybody left, my husband called me. And his reaction shocked me. He said: “How dare you?” I asked, “What did I do?” He said, “What kind of thing was that?” “You stood in front of everybody and thanked God for making you a homeowner.” “Do you know how you made me feel?” “You embarrassed me in front of my family and friends.” “You made it look like I had nothing to do with this house.” I was confused. I told him, “But you told me not to put your name on the house.” “You told me you didn’t want to be involved.” “You refused to buy a house with me.” “I saved my money and bought this house.” “What exactly did I say that was wrong?” But he didn’t want to hear any of it. Then he said something I never expected. “You are going to live in this house with your children.” “I’m moving out.” At first, I thought he was joking. I honestly didn’t believe him. But he wasn’t joking. My husband packed his things and moved out.

Part 1 I honestly don’t know where to start, because if someone had told me that buying a house for my family would eventually lead to the breakdown of my marriage, I would never have believed them. My husband and I have been married for 17 years. We have three children together—one boy and two girls. For most of our marriage, we lived in a two-bedroom rented apartment. My husband works for a big tech company, and he has been working there for over 17 years. I was a medical assistant, and I recently completed my LPN program and became a nurse. For almost ten years, I begged my husband to buy a house. I kept telling him, “Please, let’s buy a house. We have children. We can’t continue living like this forever.” But he always refused. He would tell me buying a house was unnecessary and that renting was enough. At one point, I even suggested that we rent a bigger apartment. He refused that too. He said it would be a waste of money. Our living situation was becoming increasingly difficult, especially for our son. Our daughters shared one bedroom, my husband and I shared the other bedroom, while our son, who is now 16, slept in the sitting room. He had to keep his belongings in two small closets in the hallway. He constantly complained to me. “Mommy, I don’t have privacy.” “My sisters have a room, but I don’t.” “Where am I supposed to keep my things?” “All I want is my own room.” And honestly, I understood him. He was growing into a young man. He needed his own space. So I continued begging my husband to buy a house. About three years ago, we travelled to Nigeria and built a house worth around 250 million naira. But the irony was that we didn’t even spend up to two months living in that house before returning to America. Today, my younger sister and her family live there and help us look after the property. So whenever I looked at our life in America, I kept asking myself: “How can we afford to build such an expensive house in Nigeria, but we cannot buy a family home here?” I knew my husband was capable of buying a house. But there was something else. My husband was afraid that if he bought a house with me, we might eventually have problems, and I would take the house from him. He always believed that if we ever started fighting or got divorced, I would use the house against him. One day, I told him, “If you’re so worried about that, then let’s buy the house together. At least we’ll have something for our children.” He refused. He basically told me he didn’t want to put his name on anything with me. That really hurt me. After 17 years of marriage, I couldn’t understand why my own husband didn’t trust me. I asked myself, “Do you really think I’m the kind of woman who would take everything from you if something happened between us?” But he wouldn’t change his mind. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. I started saving. Little by little. Month after month. I saved until I could afford to buy a house myself.
