“Please, I’m asking for sincere advice, not criticism. I’m genuinely worried. Over the past several months, I’ve started noticing that my husband’s private part seems bigger than before. At first, I thought maybe I was overthinking it. But as time went on, it became more noticeable. During intimacy, it feels different from how it used to. Sometimes it doesn’t get as firm as it once did, but even when it does, it still appears larger than before. I’m honestly confused and a little scared. If things keep changing like this, I don’t know what it might look like a year from now. The hardest part is that I don’t know how to bring up the topic without hurting his feelings or making things awkward between us.” I also explained that when we first got married back in 2021 in a small town near Kumasi, everything about our intimate life felt normal and comfortable. But lately, I’ve been noticing changes not only in size but also in firmness and overall consistency. I suspect stress could be playing a role because my husband has been under a lot of pressure recently. Over the past year, he has been dealing with financial challenges and demanding work responsibilities. He has also gained some weight and often complains about feeling tired. I keep asking myself: could this be connected to hormones, blood circulation, diabetes, or another health issue? I truly just want to understand what might be happening so we can address it before it becomes a serious concern. I want to make it clear that my intention is not to embarrass or shame my husband. He is a loving and responsible partner, and I care deeply about him. My biggest worry is that if this continues without being addressed, it might start affecting his confidence and eventually our relationship. Right now, I’m simply hoping for advice on how to gently encourage him to see a doctor or health professional without making him feel insecure or uncomfortable. All I want is for my husband to be healthy, confident, and at peace again. I truly hope someone can guide me on how to approach this situation the right way.

"Can you wear this tomorrow evening and introduce yourself as my wife?" he asked calmly. I honestly thought he was joking. He wasn't. He explained that his parents were arriving from out of town the next night. They were deeply traditional and had been pressuring him to marry for years. According to him, they had even threatened to withhold his trust fund if he didn't "settle down." If they believed he was married, he'd gain access to the first portion of his inheritance. He offered me $2000 for one weekend of acting. Smile. Be affectionate. Call him by a pet name. That was it. Every instinct told me to refuse. But my bank account convinced me otherwise. The following evening, I slipped on the ring and stepped into my role. I called him "honey." I laughed at his jokes. I rested my hand on his shoulder while serving dinner. His parents were thrilled. His father kept nodding proudly. His mother squeezed my hands and whispered, "Thank you for making our son a man." By Sunday night, the money was transferred. It should have ended there. But it didn't. Ten days later, 1 was added to a family WhatsApp group as "Mrs. Daniel Brooks." Three weeks after that, his parents decided to stay longer than planned. Six weeks later, they moved into his guest room. They said they wanted to spend "quality time" with their daughter-in-law. When I confronted Daniel, he didn't look calm anymore. He looked desperate. "They've released the first installment," he admitted. "The rest comes in five months. But they need proof the marriage is stable." And suddenly, my one-weekend lie had turned into a half-year contract I never signed.

“I connected with her on social media about six months ago. She actually reached out first. At the time, I wasn’t searching for anything serious. It started as harmless conversation, playful banter, long voice notes, and random discussions about life and personal experiences. She’s 35, while I’m 30. From the beginning, she knew my age. I didn’t hide it. She brushed it off and said maturity isn’t measured by numbers. Initially, I placed her in the ‘just a friend’ category. We talked about our careers, family dynamics, past relationships, and even childhood memories. She’s thoughtful, articulate, and emotionally aware. She communicates clearly and listens deeply, qualities that made me admire her even more. Gradually, our chats became daily routines. Good morning texts. Midday check-ins. Late-night phone calls. It stopped feeling casual and started feeling intentional. Last weekend, she expressed her feelings openly. She told me she wanted something meaningful, not just endless chatting, but a committed relationship with direction and purpose. The truth? I’m drawn to her. I feel calm when we talk. I respect her mind. I care about her happiness. But there’s one issue that keeps troubling me, she’s five years older than I am. To some, that may seem minor. But to me, it feels significant. Maybe it’s cultural conditioning. Maybe it’s how I was raised. I can’t fully explain it, it just unsettles me. She reassures me constantly. She even laughs and says I carry myself like someone much older. Still, deep inside, I’m not completely at ease. There’s another layer to this. She sends me thoughtful gifts, sometimes expensive ones. She surprises me. She supports me emotionally and financially in small ways. I appreciate it, but it also makes me feel uncomfortable because I’m not entirely certain about committing. She lives in Accra, and I’m based in Abuja. Despite the distance, she’s already planning to visit me in April so we can finally meet face-to-face and explore where this could go. Honestly, I’m afraid. I don’t want to mislead her. I don’t want her to travel all this way only for me to realize I can’t move forward. At the same time, I don’t want to lose her presence in my life. I treasure our connection. And if I’m being completely transparent, I’m also afraid of losing the care and generosity she shows me. I’m not proud of that part, but it’s true. I feel torn. Should I continue and see how things unfold? Or should I be honest now and tell her I only want friendship before her feelings deepen even more? I like her deeply, but the age difference keeps disrupting my peace of mind. I genuinely don’t know what to do.” The young man now finds himself stuck between real affection and internal resistance. While many people would consider a few years’ difference insignificant, personal upbringing and societal expectations still weigh heavily on him. He must now decide: pursue a woman who is clearly invested in him, or step back before emotions, and expectations, grow beyond control.

I am a married woman, and I want to share the painful and humiliating ordeal I went through after discovering that the man I had been secretly involved with was part of a scheme orchestrated by my own husband. Everything started earlier this year, around late February. A man named “Daniel” sent me a friend request on social media. He seemed successful, articulate, and very attentive. Our conversations began casually, but over time they became more frequent and emotionally intense. He constantly complimented me, checked on me every day, and even surprised me with small gifts delivered to my workplace. Although we hadn’t met in person at first, I admit that the attention filled a void I hadn’t fully acknowledged. By April, we decided to meet face-to-face. When we finally met in the city of Greenridge, the chemistry felt even stronger than it had online. He was charming and confident, and I found myself increasingly drawn to him. Within weeks, we began planning a weekend getaway to a coastal town called Bayhaven. To make the trip happen, I lied to my husband. I told him I needed to attend a friend’s bridal shower in that area. I packed lightly and traveled alone, meeting Daniel at a boutique hotel we had booked for two nights. At first, everything seemed normal. We checked in, had dinner, and later returned to our room. As the evening became more intimate, there was a sudden, forceful knock on the door. Startled and anxious, Daniel got up to open it. To my absolute shock, my husband walked into the room. That moment was the lowest point of my life. I stood there exposed and speechless, while my husband looked at me with anger and a strange sense of vindication. He said calmly, “I needed to know the truth. I’ve always believed that if you ever had the opportunity, you would cheat.” Then came the most devastating revelation. Daniel confessed that he was not who I thought he was. He admitted that he was a longtime acquaintance of my husband and that the entire situation had been arranged to test my loyalty. The messages, the compliments, the gifts, and even the weekend getaway had all been planned. The two of them got dressed and left the hotel together, leaving me alone in the room, overwhelmed with shame and disbelief. I couldn’t bring myself to go home. Instead, I went straight to my aunt’s house in another district. I haven’t told her the real reason for my sudden visit. My children are still with their father. Now I am burdened with guilt and regret. I know what I did was wrong. But at the same time, I feel deeply hurt by the extreme method my husband chose to test me. I betrayed my vows, and I accept that. But I never imagined he would go to such lengths. I don’t know how to face him, how to explain this situation to my children, or whether my marriage can survive this. I am now seeking guidance on how to confront the damage done on both sides — my infidelity and his elaborate deception — and whether reconciliation is even possible for the sake of our family. This experience has forced me to reflect deeply on temptation, trust, and the irreversible consequences of choices made in secrecy.

We discovered the truth when the damage had already been done. When my four-month maternity leave ended, I had no choice but to return to work. Leaving my daughter behind was the hardest decision I had ever made. My husband and I interviewed several caregivers before choosing a quiet woman named Anita. She was in her late twenties, soft-spoken, and seemed naturally affectionate with children. Something about her felt reassuring, and for nearly eight months, I believed we had made the right choice. At first, everything appeared normal. But gradually, our little girl began falling sick more often than usual. One week it was a persistent cough, the next it was a stubborn fever that refused to break. I tried to convince myself it was just common infections children pick up. Still, deep down, I felt uneasy. Finally, we visited a pediatrician for a thorough checkup. After examining her, the doctor asked calmly, “Are you still breastfeeding?” “Yes,” I replied without hesitation. He exchanged a glance with the nurse and gently suggested running several tests, including HIV screening. He recommended that my husband and I also get tested, just to rule everything out. We agreed without fear or suspicion. Neither of us had ever tested positive before. Two days later, we were called back to the clinic in Yokohama. I remember the way the doctor sat down slowly, his face unusually serious. “I’m very sorry,” he began. “Your daughter’s test is positive. Both of yours are negative.” Everything inside me shattered. I couldn’t process his words. My husband gripped my hand so tightly it hurt. It felt impossible. How could our child be infected when neither of us was? After a long silence, the doctor asked, “Who looks after her during the day?” I told him about Anita, who had come with us and was waiting downstairs. She was brought in and asked to take a test as well. The results confirmed what none of us were prepared for—she was HIV positive. My husband exploded in anger. “What happened?” he demanded. Anita collapsed into tears. Between sobs, she confessed something that made my heart stop. Months earlier, she had lost her own baby. When our daughter refused bottled milk and cried endlessly while I was away at work, Anita panicked. Acting out of desperation and grief, she began breastfeeding her herself. She insisted she didn’t know her status at the time. She had never been tested after her child’s death. I felt physically ill. She had once mentioned that the baby was rejecting formula, and I had casually told her to try mashed fruits until I returned home. I never imagined she would take such a step. I never imagined this could even happen. The guilt crushed me. My husband blamed me for not being stricter, and for a while, I blamed myself more than anyone else. The months that followed were the darkest of our lives. There were counseling sessions, sleepless nights, endless tears, and difficult conversations. Eventually, we made the painful decision to forgive Anita. Not because the pain disappeared, but because we understood she acted from ignorance and unresolved grief, not cruelty. Our daughter began treatment immediately. We learned about medication, about hope, about living positively. Slowly, we found strength we didn’t know we had. Our marriage survived, but it changed. Trust had to be rebuilt in different ways. Some wounds do close with time, but they leave scars that never truly fade. We learned the truth too late — but we also learned that even in the deepest heartbreak, healing is still possible.

From my inbox Dear I Am a Mother of Two… and I’m Confused About My Relationship With a Married Man I am a mother of two children. After separating from their father, I decided to go back to school. I am currently in my first year at campus, trying to rebuild my life and secure a better future for myself and my kids. While studying, I met a married man. He has one wife and three children. From the beginning, he told me he believes in polygamy and wants to marry a second wife. He said he loves me and needs a hardworking, supportive woman by his side. He explained that he had tried many times to “train” his first wife to be creative and help him run his businesses so they could improve their financial situation. According to him, she did not respond positively. She is illiterate, but he says he has built a house for her and still fully takes care of her and their children. As our relationship grew, he introduced me to his family. They welcomed me warmly and said they liked me. He even expressed his desire to meet my parents and make things official. Along the way, I got pregnant for him. Sadly, I had a miscarriage at six months. I buried the child we were expecting together. That experience broke me deeply. After the miscarriage, I told him I wanted us to separate. But he refused. He said he would never accept losing me — that he would even go to a witch doctor to make sure we stay together until death separates us. That statement frightened me. There are other things that confuse me. He does not eat food cooked by his first wife, even though he sleeps at her house sometimes. When he is hungry, he runs to my place so I can cook for him. I wash his clothes. He spends most of his time at my place. He is even building a house for me. He openly told his first wife that he plans to marry a second wife, and he keeps telling me that he is a polygamous man who needs two wives. Now I am confused. Should I still leave him, or should I stay?

It's my second pregnancy, and honestly, I can't even complain, because my mother-in-law has practically turned into my personal guardian angel. Ever since I married my husband, my mother-in-law, let's call her Mama Grace, has taken her role very seriously. Sometimes I joke that she's the head of home security in our marriage. And truthfully, I know not everyone is blessed with this kind of support, so I'm sharing this story with a heart full of gratitude. About three years ago, before I became pregnant again, my husband, I'll call him Daniel, was giving me serious stress over a vouna woman he kept referrina to as his stress over a young woman he kept referring to as his "close friend." The girl was just 23, always dressed in ways that made me uncomfortable, and constantly calling or texting him at odd hours. I tried to express how I felt, but anytime I raised the issue, Daniel would either ignore me for days or start coming home very late. He would deepen his voice, act overly authoritative, and remind me he was "the man of the house." Then one evening in late August 2023, everything changed. Mama Grace arrived unannounced at our home. Daniel had no idea she was around. That night, he followed his usual routine and stayed out until almost midnight. I was in our bedroom crying quietly when Mama walked in and demanded to know what was wrong. At first, I hesitated, but she kept pressing gently until told her everything. To say she was angry would be an understatement. When Daniel finally walked in close to 1 a.m., Mama didn't even let him drop his keys. She confronted him immediately. The same man who had been intimidating me suddenly looked like a little boy standing before his headmistress. He tried to claim he had explained everything to me, but I calmly told Mama that was not true. She made him apologize right there on the spot. Not only that, she insisted he call the young lady to the house the next morning. And he did. When the girl arrived, Mama Grace gave her a firm, unforgettable warning to stay away from her married son. It wasn't loud drama - just strong, direct words from a mother who wasn't playing about her son's home. Since that day, peace returned. It's been over two and a half years now, and that issue has never resurfaced. Now that I'm expecting again, about five months along Mama has gone into full protective mode. She insists Daniel handles the cooking, cleaning, and errands. She even says he'll continue until the baby turns one. If she notices I look tired or slimmer than usual, she immediately tells me to pack my things and come stay with her. I've been at her place for just four days, and honestly, I teel like royalty. All I do is rest, eat nourishing meals, and sleep peacefully. She watches over me like I'm her own daughter. I truly thank God for blessing me with a mother-in-law who supports me this way. Not everyone gets this kind of love, and I don't take it for granted for one second.

1. Disrespect Disguised as “Jokes” If he constantly mocks you, embarrasses you, or belittles your dreams and calls it “just joking,” that’s not humor, it’s erosion of your self-worth. 2. Inconsistency He says he loves you. but disappears for days. He promises change. but repeats the same behavior. Consistency is maturity. Confusion is not love. 3. Lack of Accountability It’s always your fault. He never apologizes. He twists the story to make himself the victim. A man who can’t say “I was wrong” will keep hurting you. 4. Isolation Tactics If he slowly pulls you away from friends, family, mentors, or your support system, that’s not protection, that’s control. 5. Emotional Unavailability You beg for basic affection. You feel alone in the relationship. You keep over-giving, hoping he’ll finally open up. Love shouldn’t feel like chasing crumbs. 6. You’re Always Anxious Your body knows before your mind admits it. If you’re constantly overthinking, walking on eggshells, or feeling unsafe emotionally, that’s your nervous system sounding the alarm. Read this carefully: Love should not cost you your peace, your confidence, or your identity. If you have to shrink, beg, prove, chase, or suffer to keep someone… it’s not love, it’s attachment. And you deserve more than survival.

I am 46 years old, and my wife, Angela, is 42. She is financially more stable than I am, but I have always tried to contribute what I can to support our household and make sure our children are comfortable. Angela owns a successful boutique, while I survive on temporary construction and delivery jobs. We used to divide responsibilities between us. She handled most of the major expenses — paying ₦180,000 for rent, covering utility bills, our children’s tuition, and medical costs. I was responsible for preparing meals and handling smaller day-to-day needs. About a year ago, I began a relationship with a younger woman named Diana, who is 24. Eventually, she became pregnant. Because of my religious beliefs, I did not want to seek a divorce, and I also felt it would be wrong to have a child outside of marriage. So I decided to tell Angela the truth and informed her that I wanted to marry Diana as a second wife. Angela strongly opposed the idea at first. After months of arguments and pressure from me, she eventually told me to do whatever I felt was right. Using my small savings, I paid the bride price, and six months ago, I married Diana. Since Diana moved into our home, Angela has completely changed her attitude toward me. She stopped contributing financially to the household. She told me that since I chose to take another wife, I should now be responsible for all expenses. For a while, I tried to manage everything myself, but after three months I began falling behind. It has now been four months since I have been unable to pay the rent, and our landlord is threatening eviction. I have exhausted my funds. Diana does not have a job, and I am struggling to provide for her and the baby. I am also worried because she still communicates with her former boyfriend, and I fear she might leave if things continue like this. I pleaded with Angela to help pay the rent so that we would not lose the house. She refused and said that if we are evicted, she will move out and find a separate place for herself and our four children. I told her that as husband and wife, we are bound together and should remain united, but she has distanced herself from me. She focuses only on the children and excludes me from meals and family time. Diana’s relative, who works at a local courthouse, suggested that I file a legal complaint against Angela for neglecting her marital duties and abandoning the household financially. According to him, she could be compelled by law to continue supporting the family. I am confused and overwhelmed. I do not know whether taking legal action against my wife is the right decision. I feel like everything is falling apart, and I do not know how much longer I can handle this situation.

On the evening of February 14th, something happened between Michael and his wife Anita that he never expected would turn into an even bigger problem. That night, around 8:30 p.m., they had a serious argument. Voices were raised, emotions were high, and in a burst of frustration, Anita pulled off her wedding band and flung it off the balcony. Then she stormed into the bedroom and locked the door behind her. Michael stood there feeling terrible. After a few minutes, he rushed downstairs and searched around the parking area until he finally spotted the ring near a flower bed. Relieved, he picked it up and slipped it into his jacket pocket. Wanting to calm things down, he decided to do something kind. About 30 minutes later, he drove to a nearby restaurant, bought her favorite meal, and knocked gently on the bedroom door. He apologized sincerely. After a while, she opened up, admitted she overreacted, and apologized too. Things seemed to cool off. Later that night, around 10:00 p.m., Anita suddenly remembered the ring and hurried outside to look for it. For nearly an hour and a half, she searched around the building with a flashlight, clearly upset. All that time, Michael had the ring safely in his pocket. After watching her search for a while, he finally walked outside and said, “You won’t believe this, I just found it over there.” He handed it to her, expecting relief or even gratitude. Instead, Anita looked at him in disbelief. When she realized he had likely found it earlier and kept quiet, she became even more upset than before. What he thought would be a sweet surprise only sparked another heated argument. Now Michael is confused, he meant well, but his timing made things worse. Sometimes it’s not just what we do, but when and how we do it that matters most.

“I Just Want My Marriage Back, Is Someone Manipulating My Wife?” I’m a 47-year-old man from Kumasi, and I’m struggling with something that’s breaking me inside. My wife is 27, and lately she’s been spending most of her time with a 30-year-old man who doesn’t even have a stable job. I’ve tried everything I can think of to make him step aside, but he refuses to disappear from her life. At this point, I’m starting to wonder if something spiritual is involved. I can’t understand what she sees in him. When I look at him, I honestly don’t see what he could possibly offer her that I haven’t already given. It just doesn’t make sense to me. A few months ago, my relatives even tried to interfere and separate us completely, but I stopped them. No matter what’s happening, she’s still my wife, and I love her deeply. I don’t want war. I don’t want revenge. I just want my marriage restored. We’ve been together for six years, and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to fix this situation. I’m confused, hurt, and desperate for answers. Could someone truly be influencing her in ways I don’t understand? Or am I missing something important? I need honest advice. I just want my wife back.

My 18-year-old daughter, Daniel, told me something three weeks ago that I still can’t shake. One evening, she sat across from me at the dining table. I assumed she wanted to talk about school or her plans for the week. Instead, she calmly said she had decided she didn’t want to continue university… and she wasn’t interested in getting a job either. Just like that. I thought it was stress or maybe burnout. But she was serious. She said she had been thinking about it for months and realized that the “9–5 life” wasn’t for her. She said she just wanted a simple, peaceful life without pressure. Then it got worse. She told me she expected me to support her financially while she figured things out. Not only her — but her boyfriend too. She’s been dating him for about eight months. He’s 20. He doesn’t study or work either. According to my daughter, he’s “on a healing journey” and needs a stable environment because he had a difficult upbringing. And that environment, apparently, should be my home. The same condo I’ve been paying the mortgage on for over fifteen years by myself. I honestly thought she was joking. I even laughed. But she didn’t smile. She said that if I truly love her, I should stand by her choices. She told me plenty of parents financially support their kids while they “discover themselves.” When I asked how long this arrangement would last, she shrugged and said, “However long it takes.” Since that day, it’s been constant. She says he can’t stay at his shared apartment anymore. She says he needs somewhere safe. She says we can adjust. She says he could help around the house “emotionally.” I asked if he planned to work part-time at least. “No,” she said. “He needs time to heal.” Last week, he showed up without warning. Walked in like he belonged there. Sat on my couch, opened my fridge, and asked if we were ordering dinner. My daughter acted like everything was normal. I stood in my own kitchen feeling like a guest. When he left, she accused me of being distant and unwelcoming. Two nights ago, he came back — this time with three large bags. My daughter told me he’d be staying “for a little while so you can get used to the idea.” I told her to take the bags back downstairs immediately. She exploded. Said I was heartless. Said I cared more about my comfort than her happiness. Said I was sabotaging her future. He started crying, saying every loving parent supports their child’s partner — except me. Now my daughter barely speaks to me. She stays in her room all day. When she does come out, she tells me that one day I’ll regret not supporting the man she loves. That when she becomes successful, she’ll remember that I didn’t believe in her. Meanwhile, he messages her saying I’m the problem. And here I am… stuck between two fears. If I give in, I lose my peace, my privacy, my financial stability — maybe for years. If I stand firm, I risk damaging my relationship with my daughter. I don’t know what hurts more — protecting my home… or feeling like I’m pushing my child away.

As we step into this new month, we declare: By the mercy of God, every burden is lifted, every closed door is opened, and every delayed promise finds expression. This month will not work against us; it will work for us. Grace will speak for us. Favor will locate us. Peace will surround us. And everything we lay our hands on will prosper. This month, we move forward not backward. We rise, not fall. We win, not weep. Amen.

Hi dear 🤍 let’s talk about this calmly and clearly. First, marriage is not only about swearing in church. In the Bible, marriage is a covenant before God, but it is also about commitment, responsibility, and becoming one with someone. A man who has a woman and children with her has already created a family bond, even if there was no church ceremony. For example: • In Genesis 2:24, it says a man leaves his parents and “cleaves” to his wife, and they become one flesh. • In Malachi 2:14, marriage is described as a covenant before God. A wedding in church is important spiritually, but it is not the only thing that makes a relationship real in God’s eyes. Now to your real question: If you love a man who already has a woman and children (even if they didn’t marry in church), are you breaking God’s covenant? If he is still emotionally, financially, or physically connected to that woman as his partner, then yes, stepping into that situation can mean: 1. Entering into someone else’s union 2. Creating conflict in a family 3. Hurting another woman and children 4. Participating in something that is not clean or peaceful God is not only concerned about the ceremony, He is concerned about order, faithfulness, and integrity. The deeper question is not “Did they marry in church?” The deeper question is: 👉 Is he free? 👉 Is he fully separated? 👉 Has he taken responsibility and closed that chapter properly? If he is still with her, still acting as her man, still building life with her, then that is not a single man. That is a man with a family. And love alone does not make something right. My gentle advice to you as a woman: Don’t build your happiness on another woman’s tears. Don’t enter a story that already has unfinished chapters. And don’t reduce yourself to “second option” when you can be someone’s first and only choice. You deserve a man who is completely free, spiritually, emotionally, legally.

My name is Anita. A few years ago, my husband borrowed a huge amount of money from me—money I had sacrificed so much to save. I had planned to use it to sponsor my younger sister’s relocation to Australia by September this year. I am the eldest of four siblings. Our parents are retired secondary school teachers who poured every ounce of their strength and savings into my education so I could graduate, secure a stable job, and help lift the family. Since our relatives rarely offer support, the responsibility has always rested on my shoulders. After university, I was fortunate to get a position as a financial officer at a reputable firm in Nairobi. The competition was intense; dozens of qualified candidates showed up for the interview. After the final round, my supervisor privately told me that the only way I would be hired was if I agreed to be intimate with him. I was in a serious relationship at the time, but the pressure of my family’s expectations and our financial struggles clouded my judgment. I made a decision I deeply regret. Two years later, my boyfriend proposed, and we married in June 2021. I convinced myself that chapter of my life was closed. But my supervisor continued to pressure me, threatening my position. I foolishly gave in again, believing it would end there. Unfortunately, my husband found out. He immediately threw me out of our home and demanded a divorce. For nearly five months, I pleaded with him for another chance. It took intense intervention from both families—especially my mother’s tearful appeals—before he finally agreed to reconcile. Now, the issue tearing me apart is the money he borrowed—about $18,000—which I had saved over years. I need it urgently to process my sister’s visa application before the October deadline. Every time I ask him about repayment, he throws my past in my face. He accuses me of planning to waste the money on “other men” and uses my mistake as justification to avoid paying me back. To keep the peace, I often remain silent. But this opportunity could change everything for my family. If my sister relocates and finds stable work, the financial pressure on me will ease significantly. I honestly don’t know how I could ever rebuild that kind of savings again. I feel trapped between my past mistakes and my present responsibilities. I don’t know what step to take next.

There’s a woman somewhere right now with no partner to lean on, no village to carry her, and no one calling to check if she’s okay. Yet every morning, she rises. She shows up. She keeps going. Sis, wherever you are, you’re going to win.
