The cutest cat goshuin I've ever seen. Every season they have a different design, now it's cherry blossom season 🌸🥰🐾 📍Ninna-ji, Kyoto #Goshuin #Ninnaji #JapanTravel #KyotoSakura #goshuincho
Best place for late blooming Sakura in Kyoto! 🌸 Visit Umekoji Park in mid-April to see fluffy Yaezakura cherry blossoms and colorful Azaleas without the heavy crowds. A must-see hidden gem for spring in Japan. 🇯🇵✨ #UmekojiPark #KyotoJapan #LateBloomingSakura #KyotoTravel #japanspring🌸
Cutest DIY souvenir from Japan ☘️🎐 You can find at daiso for 100 yen. What would you draw on it? #daisofinds #daisodiy #glasspainting #souvenirfromjapan #diycrafts
Don’t leave Osaka without finding this spot! It’s close to the the busiest part of Dotonbori but tucked away in a quiet alley. It has a temple with a statue that’s completely overgrown in a thick layer of moss. 📍Hozen-ji Temple, Dotonbori, Osaka #osakajapan #dotonbori #hozenji #japantravel #hiddengems
Did you know Daiso has a "luxe" brand? Same affordable prices, but with a sleek, minimalist aesthetic. 🌿 The quality is 10/10. My personal favorites from my last haul! #StandardProducts #DaisoJapan #Lifestyle #Organization #JapanHaul
Cute Aesthetic Crêperie in Kyoto 🥞🍌☕ 🔗 Link in Bio (In the Japan Maps list, under cafes) Neuf Creperie Demachiyanagi ヌフ クレープリー 出町店 📍80-2 Ryuhonjimaecho, Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto, 602-0831 #KyotoCrepes #KyotoEats #KyotoFoodie #JapanStreetFood #kyotocafe
Don't let the symbols stress you out! For example If you’re heading from Kyoto to Himeji with a local train: 1️⃣ Check the Board: Look at the digital sign above the Platform (in this case platform 5). (Wait a few seconds, it swaps between Japanese and English!) 2️⃣ Find Your Target: Look for your train (e.g., Local to Himeji). Next to the time, you’ll see a symbol: like a an Arrow ⬆️, triangle 🔼 or circle ⭕. 3️⃣ Check the Car Count: The sign will show something like 1~12. This means the train has 12 cars. 4️⃣ Find Your Floor Mark: Walk along the platform until you see that Arrow symbol with a number between 1 and 12. 5️⃣ Line Up: Stand in the designated lines behind that symbol. The train doors will open exactly where you’re standing #JapanTravel #japanguide #JRTrain #TravelHacks #trainjapan
Step-by-Step to Miyajima: 1️⃣ Go to Hiroshima Station. 2️⃣ Take the JR Sanyo Line to Miyajimaguchi Station (approx. 25 mins). Note: You can take the tram too, but it takes over an hour! 3️⃣ Follow the signs out of the station to the Ferry Terminal. 4️⃣ Pick either ferry, they cost the same! You can just tap your IC card to pay. ✨ Tip: Use the JR Ferry if you have a JR Pass! 🚡 Ropeway: Head to the mountain ropeway first! It usually closes around 4:30 PM, and you don’t want to be stuck up there. ⛰️ Enjoy your trip! 🇯🇵✨ #hiroshima #miyajima #japantravel #japantips #visitjapan
I'd recommend making a reservation or come early. It's a lively izakaya and every single dish is delicious! ✨ A true hidden gem in the heart of Tokyo. Just 5 minutes from The Shibuya scramble crossing. 📍 Shirubee Shibuya #ShirubeeShibuya #ShibuyaIzakaya #TokyoHiddenGems #JapanFoodie #tokyoeats
Only 45 minutes from Kyoto Unfortunately, we didn't catch anything. But our guide said October is the best month to go if you want an easy catch. Even without catching anything it was a great experience! Fun fact: Lake Biwa actually holds the World Record for the largest Black Bass ever caught, so the "big ones" are definitely down there! Definitely a 10/10 day trip to get away from the crowds. 🌊 #JapanTravel #LakeBiwa #KyotoDayTrip #BassFishing #fishingjapan
I think we should normalize seeing the tourist spots. They’re famous for a reason! I live in Kyoto and have been to Arashiyama countless times, but I’m still taking my brother here now that he’s finally visiting. I’ll be sharing our full itinerary once the vacation is over, so follow me so you don't miss it! #kyototravel #arashiyama #japantravel #itinerary #hozugawariver
POV: You found the prettiest souvenir in Japan. ⛩️ These see-through sakura charms come in 4 colors, pink, purple, blue and white. 🌸 Note: I believe they have these all year, but it's nice getting one during cherry blossom season. 🌸 📍 Todai-ji, Nara (The video is from last year, 2025. I went today March 7 and they still had them) #japansouvenirs #sakuraseason #traveljapan #omamori #cherryblossoms
I highly recommend adding the Hozugawa River boat ride to your Arashiyama itinerary. 🚣♂️ The best way to do it is taking the scenic train from Saga Torokko Station over to Kameoka. Once you’re there, you can catch the boat back. It’s a 1.5 to 2 hour trip and the scenery is incredible. Definitely worth it! ✨ #Arashiyama #KyotoTravel #JapanTips #HozugawaRiver #visitkyoto
It is important to bring a proper Goshuin-cho (goshuin accordion book). Most staff will decline to stamp or draw in a regular notebook or travel journal. You can buy these books at almost any temple or local (craft) store. #goshuin #japantravel #japansouvenir #japanbucketlist #japantips
If you collect Goshuin, you NEED these! ⛩️✨ Otori Taisha has many types of goshuin, they have specific designs for every single month, so for example you can pick your birth month (mine was sold out 🥲). I ended up getting the limited Setsubun seasonal goshuin. Don't miss their clear omamori (charms). Also, their omikuji (fortune slips) are the most unique I’ve seen. You have to be lucky; some are standard paper, but if you’re lucky, you get a beautiful transparent one! 🍀 📍 Otori Taisha (40 minutes from Umeda) #osakatravel #goshuin #japanhiddenagem #otoritaisha #omamori
I think most people know about Katsuo-ji in Osaka, but did you know there is also a daruma temple in Kyoto? 🏮 You can’t really compare the two, but this one is so cute. They have so many different kinds of daruma! It’s really quiet and not many people know about it yet. Plus, it’s super easy to get to. Side note: The woman at the ticket counter speaks English and was so sweet, she seems to really want to practice her English, so definitely say hi! #Kyoto #JapanTravel #DarumaTemple #HiddenGem #KyotoJapan
